It was Bettina’s destiny to open “Biscotteria Bettina.” As a child, Bettina helped her mother and grandmother bake pastries in the family kitchen. Year after year, her passion became a business.
TRADITIONAL RECIPES, UNIQUE BISCUITS
Biscotteria Bettina has evolved into a pastry shop of old and traditional recipes, enriched by Bettina’s knowledge collected in her travels around Europe. Bettina produces many kinds of cookies: sweet ones for breakfast or a little snack, as well as salty ones for a traditional aperitivo Italiano. Born in Veneto, Bettina knows how to make the perfect cookie to accompany a glass of prosecco: “Cantucci POP,” made with Asiago cheese and onion, or curry-flavored biscuits. Veneto and Venetian cuisine are Bettina’s inspiration. The coastal areas, the plains, and the mountains are each home to their own style of cooking, including everything from polenta, to seafood, to grilled meat. Bettina borrowed from all of these culinary traditions to concoct her unique biscuits.
Biscotteria Bettina is an artisanal laboratory. Bettina’s all-female “dream team”—Bettina, Melissa, Ana, Alessandra, Manuela and Cinzia—make the business unlike any other. Each woman specializes in a different aspect of production.
A PASSION BORN IN THE FAMILY KICHEN BECOMES AN INNOVATIVE BUSINESS
Bettina’s passion and curiosity for her mother and grandmother’s recipes were just a starting point. Her goal was to create biscotti that tasted different from her family’s classics. She found inspiration not only in Venetian tradition, but also in the nature of the territory where she grew up. She first expressed her love for Italy in her “Biscotto Tiramisu,” a cookie inspired by the famous Italian dessert. Her creativity and continuous research of raw materials brought her to make some cookies with delicate khorasan wheat, and others with just rice flour.
