The Frescobaldi family’s history spans over a thousand years, deeply intertwined with Tuscany’s rich heritage. In the Middle Ages, the Frescobaldi rose to prominence as influential bankers, even serving as treasurers to the English Crown. During the Renaissance, they contributed to iconic Florentine landmarks, including the Santa Trinita Bridge and the Basilica di Santo Spirito. At the time, "Laudemio" referred to the finest part of the harvest, reserved for the lord’s table.

Creativity and a commitment to excellence have been core values passed down through the generations. In the 14th century, poet Dino Frescobaldi, a close friend of Dante Alighieri, returned the first seven cantos of The Divine Comedy, enabling its completion. In the 18th century, the baroque compositions of Girolamo Frescobaldi gained recognition across Europe. Always forward-thinking, in 1855, the Frescobaldi family introduced groundbreaking grape varietals to Tuscany, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, and Chardonnay.

In the 20th century, Vittorio, Ferdinando, and Leonardo Frescobaldi played pivotal roles in establishing Tuscany as a global leader in fine wine and olive oil production. Today, Lamberto Frescobaldi carries on this legacy, focusing on further elevating the unique qualities of the family estates' wines.

For over 700 years, the Frescobaldi family has cultivated more than 740 acres (300 hectares) of olive groves at altitudes ranging from 650 to 1,640 feet (200 to 500 meters). This exceptional terroir produces olives with unparalleled aromas and flavors, harvested early in autumn to preserve their freshness and intensity. The olives are pressed within hours of harvest at the family’s mill in Castello Nipozzano. Only the finest oils, selected through rigorous quality control, become Laudemio Frescobaldi—an emblem of excellence.

Laudemio Frescobaldi is a premium extra virgin olive oil, celebrated for its harmony and balance. Its aromas evoke fresh olives, cut grass, and tomato leaf, while the palate reveals a perfect interplay of bitterness and spiciness, with notes of artichoke, thistle, and green almond.

The Laudemio brand, symbolized by an Etruscan athlete, embodies a healthy lifestyle and a tradition of culinary excellence.

Today, it serves as a global ambassador for the artistry of Tuscan olive oil, delighting connoisseurs around the world.
