The perfect source of vitamin C

As we all know, oranges are a tremendous source of vitamin C. This vitamin has antioxidant properties and protects cells from damage. Remember that a good intake of vitamin C is fundamental for the correct function of a healthy immune system. This is why it helps prevent colds. Sicilian Salad

As you may know, the beautiful island of Sicily produces world-famous, sweet and juicy oranges! You will need orange wedges, black olives, red onion, and fresh basil for this salad. You will only need extra virgin olive oil, salt, and pepper for the dressing. The recipe is really quick and easy. Peel and slice the oranges crosswise (you will have a cute star shape), lay the slices on a large plate. Peel the onion, cut it in half and slice very thin. Add onion and olives. Sprinkle with extra virgin olive oil, salt, and fresh black pepper. It is a perfect Mediterranean combination of flavors.

Orange and fennel salad

This delicious recipe also comes from the beautiful Sicilian land. Most likely, this recipe arrived in Sicily after the Arab invasions. You can serve this salad as an appetizer or a delicious side. The ingredients are pretty simple: oranges, fennel, salt, and extra virgin olive oil. The oranges must also be peeled, sliced, and arranged on a large plate in this version. Now cut the fennel as thin as possible, and add it to the oranges. Sprinkle with extra virgin olive oil and salt.

Orange and pecorino 

No extensive directions are needed for this simple and tasty dish. You only need oranges (peeled and sliced) and shaved pecorino cheese. Once you have arranged oranges and pecorino on a large plate, season with a simple emulsion of extra virgin olive oil, salt, and pepper.
