The Story of Vergani Panettone: Tradition, Family, and Excellence from the Heart of Milan

The story of Vergani Panettone is the tale of a Milanese family that, for four generations, has preserved and passed down values and traditions that have made Vergani a symbol of excellence in the world of pastry.

It all began in 1944, in a small pastry shop located on Viale Monza in Milan. Angelo Vergani, a young and passionate entrepreneur, started his own business during a challenging time when Milan still bore the scars of war. Yet, his determination and love for his craft allowed the shop to thrive. Thanks to the use of genuine ingredients and a constant focus on quality, “at Vergani” quickly became known for producing authentic Milanese Panettone.

Today, more than 70 years later, over 600,000 Panettoni leave the Vergani workshop each year. But every single one is made with the same artisan care and original recipe handed down by Angelo, the founder. What's the secret to making an excellent Panettone? It all comes down to the high-quality ingredients and the craftsmanship that have always defined Vergani Panettone.
