Key Product Features
Giusti 5 Gold Medals Banda Rossa Balsamic Vinegar of Modena PGI represents one of the most prestigious and concentrated expressions of the historic Giusti collection.
Known within the family as Banda Rossa, or “Red Label,” this precious balsamic was traditionally reserved by Uncle Giuseppe as a personal gift for members of the Giusti family.
Its full body, remarkable concentration and complex aromatic bouquet come from extended maturation in a series of antique small wooden casks, including barrels dating back to the 1700s.
The flavor is rich and persistent, with notes of ripe plum, black cherry and sweet spices, followed by the deep fragrances of the ancient woods in which the balsamic matures.
Only a limited quantity is extracted once a year, making Banda Rossa an exceptional condiment intended for special occasions and refined food pairings.
Why Is It Called Banda Rossa?
“Banda Rossa” means Red Label in Italian.
The name identifies Giusti’s 5 Gold Medals expression, historically regarded as a precious family reserve and the ultimate expression of the company’s balsamic-making tradition.
The five medals refer to the quality awards won by Giusti at international exhibitions during the nineteenth century.
With notes of plum, black cherries and sweet spices, infused with the fragrances of ancient woods in which it was left to age, the taste is long lasting. Aged in series of antique small casks, dating back to the 1700’s. Extracted in a limited quantity, once a year.
Balsamic Vinegar of Modena 98% (cooked grape must, wine vinegar), cooked grape must.
